Pet memorial diamonds in Hong Kong, made from their ashes or fur

Yes. A Semper Fides diamond has the same physical, chemical and optical properties as a mined diamond.

We only need 250 g of ashes, and the rest stays with your family. If you have less than 250 g of ashes, 11 g of fur can be used instead. If you hand in 250 g or less, all of it is used; any extra ashes handed in beyond 250 g are not returned. If our analysis finds too little carbon, we can first add your pet's fur, or a fabric item or soft toy made of cotton or another natural fibre (purely synthetic items can't be used), to top it up, for HKD 990, charged once. If that is not possible, we propose a Stailas diamond, made with a personal item of your pet (see "What is a Stailas memorial diamond?"). If you prefer neither, you can cancel the order: the ashes are returned at no cost, and we refund 90% of your deposit, less any shipping costs already incurred.

Fur or a personal item of your pet (Stailas) is only a fallback when the ashes do not contain enough carbon. For a Stailas memorial diamond we ask for a personal item that once belonged to your pet. Carbon is extracted from the item and added to the carbon from the available ashes. Please contact us to find out more.

Yes. The price includes one source (ashes or fur). Adding a second source costs HKD 990, charged once.

Production usually takes 4 to 9 months, depending on the size of the diamond and the number of orders being processed in Switzerland at the time. Jewellery mounting adds extra time.

Second, hand in 250 g of your pet's ashes (or 11 g of fur if there are fewer ashes), confirm your order and pay a 50% deposit. Third, we send the ashes to our Swiss laboratory in two separate parcels, as a safeguard. Fourth, the diamond is made in 4 to 9 months. Fifth, you collect it at the showroom by appointment and pay the remaining 50%.

No. The HKD 4,090 reduction for hair-only diamonds applies to memorial diamonds for people only. A pet memorial diamond made from fur is priced as listed, from HKD 18,830 for a 0.25 ct raw diamond.

Yes. You can cancel your order at any time before production starts, and we understand that plans can change. Production starts when we begin processing your ashes or fur. The refund is 90% of your 50% deposit (a 10% administration charge applies), minus any shipping costs already incurred. Before shipping costs, that is 45% of the order price.

Your finished diamond is collected in person at our North Point showroom by appointment, so we do not offer delivery.

Because each diamond is made to order for you, there is no return period once you have received it. If you have any questions before production starts, we are glad to talk them through.

Semper Fides has its own chemical laboratory and growth machines in Switzerland, where your pet’s memorial diamond is made.

Prices start at HKD 18,830 for a 0.25 ct raw diamond. The price depends on the size and whether the diamond is raw or cut and polished. Special cuts (Emerald, Asscher, Princess, Radiant, Heart, Oval) add HKD 3,150, and brilliant cut is included. The price includes shipping of the ashes (or fur) to Switzerland and of the finished diamond back to Hong Kong. You collect your diamond in person at our North Point showroom by appointment.

Each diamond is unique. At times, fine inclusions from your pet’s remains may be seen in the diamond.
