Algordanza AG, then based in Chur, Switzerland, asked a notary public of the canton of Graubünden to observe how the ashes of one deceased person, delivered by a crematorium in September 2009, were made into a diamond. The notary followed and recorded each step, from delivery of the ashes to examination of the diamond's properties by a gemologist. In his deed dated 21 January 2010, he stated that he observed the whole process, noticed no confusion or manipulation, and confirmed that the diamonds were made with the ashes delivered. This record covers that one observed process. It is not issued for individual orders.
